Pokémon Saiph 2
A brand-new Regris region built on FireRed, with the full Gen 8 Pokédex, soaring, diving and an item-triggered transformation called Ancient Regression.
More about the game
Pokémon Saiph 2 is the third game in Vytron's VytroVerse, sending the player into the new Regris region. It's built on Pokémon FireRed with the CFRU and DPE engines, which bring in the whole Gen 8 National Pokédex, a DexNav-style search tool, and new ways to explore: soaring above Regris and diving under its water. Ancient Regression, new to this game, is an item-triggered transformation for certain Pokémon that works like Mega Evolution — hold or use a species' own Regression Shard in battle. The postgame adds a Battle Frontier and a run of legendary encounters, most of them unlocked by talking to an NPC once the main story and a few side objectives are done.
What's different, point by point
- The full Gen 8 National Pokédex, not just the species FireRed originally had
- DexNav helps track down wild Pokémon
- Soar above Regris and dive underwater, each with wild tables of their own
- Ancient Regression — an item-triggered transformation, similar to Mega Evolution, for dozens of species
- Day and night, EV training, and a way to change a Pokémon's nature
- Reusable TMs
- A Battle Frontier and other postgame content, including a run of legendary encounters
- A Spanish translation is also available, by YOSOYKIKE
- More than one difficulty mode to choose from

What this guide covers
Every guide here is built from the game's own documentation. Where a ROM hack changed something but never published the numbers, this says so rather than quietly filling the gap with the original game's — which would be worse than leaving it out.
| Section | Source | |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Pokémon by area | From the game itself | Every wild table the creator's spreadsheet publishes: 72 areas, covering grass, water, fishing, cave walking, diving and soaring, plus trades, gifts, quest rewards and static encounters. |
| Encounter rates | From the game itself | Per-slot rates, exactly as the spreadsheet writes them, turned into percentages. |
| Wild levels | From the game itself | Level ranges per slot for every wild table. A handful of Static Encounters (mostly late-game legendaries) are listed with no level at all in the creator's own spreadsheet, and this guide leaves that blank rather than guessing. |
| Stats, abilities and movesets | Not published by the creator | The creator's documentation names every species this guide lists — through the wild tables, the evolution guide and the Regression Shard list — but never publishes base stats, types, abilities or level-up movesets for this game. Nothing here is filled in from FireRed or from any other game: Saiph 2 expands the dex to the full Gen 8 National Pokédex, so those numbers may not even match, and nothing says either way. Saiph 2 is built on FireRed / LeafGreen; the FireRed / LeafGreen guide has the original game's stats, abilities and movesets. |
| TM and HM compatibility | Not published by the creator | The 120 TMs are listed with the move each one teaches, but which Pokémon can learn which TM is not published anywhere, so there is no compatibility table. Saiph 2 is built on FireRed / LeafGreen; the FireRed / LeafGreen guide has the original game's TM and HM compatibility. |
| Where TMs are found | From the game itself | Where 118 of the 120 TMs are found, from the creator's own TM location list. That list itself says Flash (TM70) and Volt Switch (TM92) aren't placed anywhere in this version. |
| Trainer and boss teams | Not published by the creator | Nothing about ordinary trainers or boss fights — not even a gym leader's name — is published anywhere in the documentation, so this guide has no trainer pages, no gym-leader page and no level-cap table. Saiph 2 is built on FireRed / LeafGreen; the FireRed / LeafGreen guide has the original game's trainer teams. |

Reading the tables
CoverageThis guide is built from Vytron's own release documentation for v1.5.0: a wild-encounter spreadsheet, a TM location list, an evolution guide, a Regression Shard location list and a postgame guide. None of those documents give base stats, types, abilities, movesets or trainer teams, so this guide doesn't show any of those — see the coverage notes below for what's missing and why. This is also a Gen 8 National Dex expansion on top of FireRed, so even 'unchanged from FireRed' would be a guess for any species those documents don't cover.
Areas72 areas, each with its own wild table, in the order the creator's own spreadsheet lists them — which is also the order this guide uses for its story stages, since nothing else says otherwise. A few consecutive columns clearly belong to the same stop (Fillbur Wilds' early and late halves, Qengon Cavern's three floors, the Safari Zone's four sections) and share one stage.
RegressionAncient Regression is this game's version of Mega Evolution: use a species' own Regression Shard in battle to transform it. Every shard the Regression Shard list names is also for sale at the Battle Frontier for 20,000; a species' own page says where else, if anywhere, its shard turns up in the field.
LegendariesMost legendaries are one-time Static Encounters standing in a specific area, shown right on that area's wild table. Several also need a postgame trigger the wild table can't capture — the creator's postgame guide has the player talk to a specific NPC (Oak, Elm, Steven or Birch, each in a town this guide already covers) once the main story and a few side objectives are finished. A few more — Dialga, Shaymin and Articuno among them — come only from a Mystery Gift-style event item after clearing Cord Tower, with no field location given at all, so they're not in this guide's tables.
TMs120 TMs, each with the move it teaches and, for all but two, where it's found. No per-species compatibility is published anywhere, so there's no compatibility table.
