Pokémon Classic: Marsh Badge — the southern sea and Cinnabar Island
What opens up at this point in the game, and everything you can catch by now that you couldn't before.
✓ Routes 19, 20 and 21, the five floors of the Seafoam Islands with Articuno at the bottom, Cinnabar Island and the four floors of the Pokémon Mansion, up to Blaine. The lab on Cinnabar revives the Helix, Dome and Old Amber fossils into an Omanyte, a Kabuto or an Aerodactyl, and has the Metronome tutor in its research room. Sabrina's badge is what lets you use Rock Smash, so the rocks you have been walking past since Mt. Moon open up here.
