Pokémon Yellow Legacy level caps
The highest-level Pokémon each boss brings, in story order — the number to cap your team at if you play with level caps. Taken from the game's own documentation, not estimated.
In Hard Mode the game itself stops your Pokémon at these levels: 12 before the first badge, 21 with one badge, 24 with two, 35 with three, 43 with four, 50 with five, 53 with six, 55 with seven, and 65 with all eight, for the whole Elite Four and the Champion. The table below lists the strongest Pokémon each boss brings, which is not always the same number: Lt. Surge's Raichu is Lv 29, above the cap of 24, while the Elite Four's strongest Pokémon (Lv 57 to 62) sit below the cap of 65. In normal play there is no cap.
