FireEmerald
FireRed and Emerald joined into one campaign on the expansion engine: beat Kanto, then take the same team through a levelled-up Hoenn.
More about the game
FireEmerald stitches FireRed and Emerald together into a single, sequential story on pokeemerald-expansion. You play Kanto first, with the Sevii Islands and Cerulean Cave opening as soon as you are champion, and then travel on to Hoenn, where everything you caught and carried comes with you and the whole region is scaled up to meet a post-league team. The stories themselves are left almost untouched; what changes is the engine underneath — modern battle mechanics and movesets, the Fairy type, Mega Evolution, following Pokémon and an optional day/night cycle — and the difficulty of the second region. It is still a beta: v0.6 was a bug-fix release, and the creator lists a larger content update as the next step.
What's different, point by point
- Kanto, the Sevii Islands and Hoenn in one save, played in that order, with free travel once both are done
- Pokémon, items, money and dex progress carry from Kanto into Hoenn; HM use is re-gated behind Hoenn's badges
- Hoenn is scaled for a post-champion team: wild and trainer levels raised by 45–50, generic trainers' teams evolved, gym leaders on their third rematch rosters
- Modern mechanics from pokeemerald-expansion: updated moves, types and movesets, Fairy type, Mega Stones and linking cords sold in-game
- Following Pokémon and an optional day/night cycle
- No version-exclusive Pokémon missing; event tickets are handed out by NPCs as part of the world
- Cerulean Cave opens straight after the Kanto league; Mewtwo is level 60 before Hoenn and 100 after
- Boots into the FireRed or Emerald title screen depending on where you last saved

What this page covers
This page is a listing rather than a guide. Its creators asked us to keep documentation of their game to a minimum, so none of the usual sections are here: no wild encounters, no stats or movesets, no TM lists and no trainer teams. That is their call, not a gap we are hoping to fill later. Ask in the FireEmerald Discord

About this page
Why This Page Has No TablesThis is a listing, not a guide. FireEmerald has no published source repository and no documentation beyond its Hackdex page — no encounter lists, learnsets or trainer teams anywhere the creator has put them. The site only prints numbers that come from a hack's own documentation, so there are none here yet. The creator's Hackdex page is the place to watch; the game is a beta and a larger update is planned.
How Hoenn Is ScaledFrom the creator's own description: wild and trainer levels in Hoenn are raised by 45, or 50 if the Sevii Islands quest was finished first; generic trainers' Pokémon are evolved to match, wild Pokémon are not; gym leaders start on their third rematch teams with levels raised by 10 or 15; the rival's team is expanded.
EmulatorsThe creator warns against My Boy (crashes in the Safari Zone) and recommends mGBA or Pizza Boy.
