About Rising Ruby & Sinking Sapphire

Drayano's enhancement hack of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Every route holds 10 or more wild Pokémon so the whole National Dex (minus legendaries, which live on Mirage spots) is obtainable before the Elite Four. Gym Leaders and admins run full teams of six with held items and competitive movesets, level-up movepools were reworked so useful moves come earlier, and dozens of Pokémon received stat, ability or type buffs. Two builds are offered: the Normal build with all changes, and a Legit build that drops the moves and abilities that don't exist in official games.

What's changed

  • All 721 Pokémon obtainable; 10+ species per route with a flat 10% rate each
  • Starters, Eevee, Plusle and Minun appear only in horde battles (Sweet Scent / Honey)
  • Legendaries gathered on Mirage spots by island type
  • Full six-Pokémon teams for Gym Leaders, admins, the Elite Four and rematches
  • Level-up moves reordered and expanded; some Pokémon gain brand-new moves and abilities
  • Trade evolutions replaced with level or item evolutions
  • Shops sell evolution items, Mega Stones and select TMs
  • Balanced for a full team with the Exp. Share turned off

What this guide covers

Every guide here is built from the hack's own documentation. Where a hack changed something but never published the numbers, this says so rather than quietly filling the gap with the original game's — which would be worse than leaving it out.

Reading the tables

HordeHorde Pokémon only appear in horde battles. Stand in grass and use the move Sweet Scent or a Honey from your bag; Bellsprout and Surskit on Route 102 learn Sweet Scent early.

DexnavDexNav-only Pokémon appear after the Cave of Origin.

RatesGrass Pokémon are 10% each; * marks a 5% rare.

BuildsWild data is identical in the Normal and Legit builds; ** moves exist only in the Normal build.

ExpTrainer levels assume a full team of six with the Exp. Share off.
