What makes it different

A four-chapter DEMO of PacoScarso's Pokémon × Etrian Odyssey sequel: a new Lemurian region on FireRed, double battles only, and every boss fought at three difficulty tiers.

More about the game

Pokémon Odyssey II: Heroes of Lemuria is PacoScarso's sequel to Pokémon Odyssey, swapping Talrega for the kingdom of Lemuria and its once-a-decade "Great Lemurian Race". This guide covers Demo 0.1.3, released 31 July 2026, which the creator's own documentation heads "PART 1": four story chapters (Chapters 1-4, level caps 10 through 25), a compact cluster of areas around Marhaut, Tharsis, Ochre Peaks and Ginnungagap, 108 Pokédex families and 9 named boss fights, each fought at three difficulty tiers. Double battles are the norm, subclasses shape how you play, and Grimoire Stones stand in for TMs. Everything here is what the demo actually contains -- nothing is filled in from a planned full release that does not exist yet.

What's different, point by point

  • Four documented chapters with their own level caps (Lv. 10, 15, 20, 25) -- this is a demo, not the finished game
  • 9 named boss fights, each fought at three difficulty tiers (Picnic/Normal, Hard, Heroic) with full rosters
  • 247 Pokédex species across 108 families, all rebalanced, with a custom Aether type
  • 129 new moves and 14 new abilities documented by the creator
  • 120 Grimoire Stones -- this hack's reusable-TM equivalent -- 26 of them located
  • 54 wild tables across 23 areas, with F.O.E.s and a Wonder Trade pool
  • 13 sidequests, all set in the demo's early-game towns

What this guide covers

Every guide here is built from the game's own documentation. Where a ROM hack changed something but never published the numbers, this says so rather than quietly filling the gap with the original game's — which would be worse than leaving it out.

SectionSource
Wild Pokémon by areaFrom the game itselfEvery wild table the demo's own sheet documents, across 23 areas, including F.O.E.s and the Wonder Trade pool.
Encounter ratesFrom the game itselfPercentages are the creator's own where given; F.O.E.s and Wonder Trade entries have no rate to show.
Wild levelsFrom the game itselfEvery level or range is the creator's own, including the ranges the sheet had stored as dates.
Stats, abilities and movesetsFrom the game itselfBase stats, types, abilities, level-up learnsets and evolution methods for all 247 documented species (108 families), plus the two boss-exclusive species from the boss guide's own base-stat boxes.
TM and HM compatibilityFrom the game itselfAll 120 Grimoire Stones (this hack's reusable-TM equivalent), numbered as the creator's own sheet numbers them. No per-species compatibility table exists in the source.
Where TMs are foundFrom the game itself26 of 120 Grimoire Stones have a documented location, from the dedicated Grimoire Stones sheet and cross-referenced against the item checklist.
Trainer and boss teamsNot published by the creatorOnly the 9 named boss fights (each at three difficulty tiers) are documented anywhere in the source. Ordinary field trainers do not appear in either sheet or the release thread, and are not shown. Odyssey II is built on FireRed / LeafGreen; the FireRed / LeafGreen guide has the original game's trainer teams.

Reading the tables

SpritesEvery species in this demo is the game's own regional variant, modelled on an Etrian Odyssey monster or class, so the dex art shown here is the creator's own sprite for it, taken from the Pokedex tab of the creator's data spreadsheet (which embeds each sprite with a "Sprite by" credit), reduced to its native 64-pixel size, and served from this site. "???" and Nihilego are not in that tab and show none. Like screenshots, this art comes down at once if the creator or an artist asks.

DemoThis guide covers Demo 0.1.3 only. The creator's own LEVEL CAPS tab is headed "PART 1" and lists four chapters; the Pokedex documents 108 families (against the hack's advertised 300+ for the finished game) and the boss/sidequest sheets cover only the areas reachable in those four chapters. sources/odyssey-ii/SOURCE.md lays out the evidence. Nothing here is filled in from a planned full release -- when more of the game is documented, this guide needs rebuilding from the same two sheet URLs.

SourceEvery number here comes from two spreadsheets the creator links from both the game's Hackdex page and its PokéCommunity thread: Odyssey_II_Data.xlsx (type chart, Pokedex, new moves, new abilities, wild encounters, items/gathering, Grimoire Stones) and Odyssey_II_LevelCaps_Bosses.xlsx (level caps, boss rosters, sidequests). Nothing is filled in from FireRed or from memory.

TrainersThe creator documents the 9 named boss fights only, each at three difficulty tiers, with full rosters. Ordinary field trainers (gym-trainer-equivalent NPCs outside the named bosses) are not documented anywhere in either sheet or the thread, and are not shown.

Moves_CountThe "New Moves" tab is 796 rows by its own dimensions, but only 129 of them hold an actual move -- the rest are blank template rows. This guide publishes the 129 that exist rather than the larger row count.

GrimoireGrimoire Stones are this hack's reusable-TM equivalent, numbered #1-#120 by the creator's own sheet; this guide keeps that numbering as "GS1"-"GS120" rather than calling them TMs. There is no per-species compatibility table in either workbook, so which Pokémon can use which stone is not shown.

Boss_MovesThe 9 named bosses' movesets sometimes name a move that appears nowhere in the "New Moves" tab and is not a real move either -- roughly a dozen of them, mostly signature moves for specific boss Pokémon. They are still shown on the trainer pages exactly as the boss guide spells them; they simply have no type, power or description to show alongside them.

Boss_Species"???" (the Marhaut Mines boss) and Nihilego (Nia's boss, Ginnungagap B1F) are not in the demo's Pokédex tab. Their stats, typing, ability and moves come entirely from their own "<name> - Base Stats" box in the boss guide, the only place they are documented.

StagesThe source has no table mapping areas to chapters -- only the four chapters' level caps. Each area is placed by the average level its own wild table uses, against those caps; a boss fight is placed by its own team's levels. Treat a chapter as "about when you get here", not a locked door.

TypesAether is a genuinely new type in this hack, sitting alongside Fairy rather than replacing it (unlike the original Odyssey, where Aether replaced Fairy outright). Its spelling and matchups are exactly as the creator's own type chart gives them.
